    50's Longines Art Deco

Hello everyone. I picked this up fleabay the other day..spur of the moment buy..(nothing new there!) Please can anyone give me the heads up on it?

It's a simple clean design which I love.

Seems like a nice even ageing on the dial.

Not been able nor want to open him up tbh..but seems original.

    Nice sub-second dial.

    Gold tone numbers and markers.

    30mm in size (very small?)

    Ticking away nicely so far..

    Nice.
Given the size it possibly contains the cal10.68z or a later variation.
    Good watches Longines.

Thanks. I just went to the local jewellers to strap it up. Went with a simple brown stitch. The gentleman in the store said it was quit unusual to have gold markers with stainless steel. Anyway, he got his sale. I went with a hirsch which I have to say is exceptionally comfortable. Shrunk leather :0

Nice looking watch. I suspect it houses either a rectangular movement or a movement much smaller then the case, judging from the location of the subsecond dial. Not sure what makes you think of it as "art deco" though...there isn't any decoration at all, really, unless I'm missing something.

@AbslomRob - thanks! I guess I was meaning era. And my lack of knowledge! It was in the description when I bought the watch. I'd love to see different examples of early longines styles. They are watches of real quality.

Those are great watches. I especially like the oblong case with deco details..

The 1944 one is my favorite. Love the dial!
