    AEC Watch

Does anyone know anything about this brand. I just bought one at auction. I found a picture of one online here

it appears to be the same as mine, except mine is gold. It has a Venus movement, but I don't know how to tell the difference between say a 150, 170, or 188.

    Re: AEC Watch

The brand was probably an office suite where the sales office sold watches after management contracted with assembleurs to build the watch from movements supplied by Venus. This was (and in the case of Invicta still is) the mode for many companies in the 40's-70's.

Dr. Ranfft's site will help with the Venus movement definitions.
"Forever is composed of nows." - Emily Dickinson

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!
