    All prettied up!

Just picked this one up today after it was serviced & lightly polished:

It came out very nice. Gotta pick out a strap now. I forgot to get a movement shot - it's a caliber 340.

    Looks a nice piece

Quick question tho.......in the front close up pic of the watch, the bottom left lug arm looks a tad wonky, as does the pin......has it had some damage??

I see what you mean but I think its an illusion caused by the angle. Otherwise with the gold being soft enough any decent watchmaker would have gently bent it back in shape.

dn-is that a top loader? And does the absence of the enamel medallion have any signifgnts over this 1200 medal?

Yep, just the slight angle of the photo. Macro can do weird things as you get away from the center of a picture.

Yes, it loads from the front. The 1200 and 1260 cases didn't use enamel with the medallions.

The watch is obscenely nice. I dislike you quite a lot.

Congrats on yet another perfect piece.

Oh -so the 1200/1260 refers to the case which is why my UC has 'use 1260 wrench' on back. got it.

ulf-I have to say last your months longines cal. post has got me wearing and appreciating my 2 Longines more than ever before. I know its not the top of the line but I stand by my assessment that my '60 Conquest SS is every bit (well almost) as fine as my 70s DJ (minus cosc). I took some flack for that comment before. At least the dial is every bit as fine, imo:
