    Almost to a man, actors in the 50's an 60's wore round watches with white dials!

    Many were probably Bulovas and Benrus or maybe Omegas and Universal Geneve if upmarket. But most were many of the Swiss companies that went belly-up when quartz arrived in the ealy 70's. I have 50's watches in my collection but only one that looks the big size of these multitude of round white dial watches that appear in old films.

    Round white dialed watches kind of describes what was available to wear in that era. I doubt it expresses some bias for movie actors...

    I associate that style more with the '60s. There were lots of crazy styles during the '50s, the Ventura being a good example.

    Hamilton had all sorts of odd shaped watches. Even my K-454 while round isn't a plain classic round and it has a gold face.
