Today I received an Altus watch. It was listed as Altus/Glycine but I'm not sure that this it the Altus company that Glycine acquired at some point. Even if they were related this is probably pre Glycine. Does anyone have any info about the connection?
The things that attracted me to this watch were the very interesting dial (after inspection seems to be original to the watch), the interesting case and the solid Felsa 465 movement. I was aware that the watch was 31mm in diameter (without the crown). Can anybody identify the airplane on the dial and why an airplane is even printed on it? :)
Here are the photos form the watch (sellers photos, but they are quite good :D )
I found this vintage ad for Altus watches
There is also this thing that popped up while Googling.
And for the end another Altus watch with a Felsa 465
and a vintage Glycine Altus (font on the Altus part is quite different)
The prices are, of course, a fantasy.
Any info or thoughts about this watch would be useful.
P.S.: The forum is wonky. I have an issue with the visualization of other users uploaded photos. And the button didn't opened for me, I added the HTML tags myself.
