    Altus new arrival

This came recently, it's an Altus/Bienne.
Can anyone give an approximate age and also more importantly what the dial should look like?
Inside the back there are a few service numbers along with a scratched date? 20/10/62.
serial number on the case back states 106377, and size wise it's 34mm(not inc crown) x 42mm x 9mm.

The movement is an ETA Cal. 810 or related calibre:

    bidfun-db ETA_810: ETA 810

The general case style suggests 1960s but the movement was probably not around at that time any more. It could possibly be a very transitional piece. As for the dial, others may know more.

Many thanks, If the date scratched in the back is indeed a service date in 1962 then I guess it shouldn't have needed servicing within a year or two of manufacture so could be mid to late 50' s?

You're getting a lot of interesting watches lately.

This is what the dial on mine looks like:

The dial may have been cleaned as the numerals/hour markers are shinet gold whereas the rest of the dial is matt gold so could have been cleaned?
This picture is a bit clearer?

I don't know - but I think it may well have suffered some damage and then been cleaned up. The hands are very unusual - and rather funky.
