    Another old lady's w.w.

1950+ Spiedel was a popular metal expansion watch band choice. Longines was a popular w.w. choice as well. Here is a good one in original box. Gold watch case has nice qualty little diamonds. Band is loaded with real diamonds, but cheapest rough cut dirty ones. Never knew Spiedel made a diamond band. Seller and I never thought it had real diamonds. Total cost was less than 10 U.S. gallons of petrel.

I'd be tempted to ditch the band if the quality of its diamonds is that low. The watch itself is a beauty - a plain but quality gold band would enhance it!

Not sure why but I have several gold and diamond little ones of high quality without original straps or bands. All have fine quality diamonds although small. So hard to find good appropriate bands. Here is original 42 diamond Elgin in its box but probably not original bracelet. The old Bulova shows fine diamonds and not original band. Maybe because what I have are from active gold scrap period 1979-80. The hand made totally gold one also was saved then.
