I'll double check it too. The Mercury I have is the same band, just different color.
Aftermarket band, but one of good quality. At this point it's a toss up if you keep it on the watch or not.
Finally back in town and some more pictures since everyone enjoys those. Please point out anything you see and I can get more pictures if requested. Appears to be a "694" in the last picture.
The ink stamp on the inside of the case back tells us the watch was made in 1969, which we also knew from the code on the dial.
The "694" is likely meaningless. It could be a factory code to denote which of Timex's factories produced the movement.

Thank you for the service manual and information. This one will be enjoyed for a while. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the band.
