    Another Timex addition

All original and recently serviced so it's in good shape. A little tight for my wrist but this will be a good wear for the nights out for dinner. 34mm case and i'm waiting for the proper tool to remove the back cover. Enjoy!

Very nice example, but may not be 100% original. Here's an image of it in the catalog.

That matches the image I posted. 6544 is the catalog number, 75 is the movement and 69 is the year. It's a really nice looking watch. Coincidentally, that style was only made in 1969 and 1970. 6544 denotes "yellow" (gold plated) and 6537 denotes chrome plated.

    Re: Another Timex addition

The nicest words ever said about a Timex. I'm a hard-core Timex collector myself, owning a few of their 1 billion watches made between 1950 and 1980 (approx. 133.000 every singly working day!). But believe me, it is rarer to find a Timex with wrong parts than all original. The changing of a crown was already not worth it. Timex watches were made to wear, not to collect. But that's also the reason why Timex watches can become very rare - especially the ones which have survived in optically good condition (like your's). I wonder what has been done in connection with the service, usually the entire movement ($ 6.99 a typical price on the Net) is swapped.

Are you sure the last 4 digits are 7569 and not 2579? There is a huge quality difference between the two and the cal. M75 would lie somewhat above $6.99

Thank you for the responses! I will triple check the numbers as well. The story is it was picked up at a yard sale by the original owner and then serviced since it was mostly kept stored away. I am also curious which is why i'd like to remove the back cover and take a look.

Its a nice looking watch. The case looks way over-polished for my liking though.

It's 75. It matches the catalog image I showed (apart from the strap, which is not a big deal) and 25 isn't 21 jewel, while 75 is.

You are absolutely correct. That's the 'Mercedes' of the Timex movements.

I knew I misread your post when you said not %100 correct.

It's the band you were talking about. Now I won't feel bad swapping the band for something that fits.
