Any hardcore collectors recognise this watch??

Does anybody know anything about this movado? All I know is that it's 18k and poossibly from circa 1920's.
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

if you know how to open it, check the guts for movt mark and that will help guide you. or a watch jeweler will be able to help. or, go google crazy.

If you open it yourself, be careful not to drom pteh movement, though - sometimes it turns out to be pretty loose inside such cases.
Also, be sure not to leave fingerprins all over the movement. Not to mention that the balance wheel will be exposed, close to the edge, easy to damage as well.
Sorry if I'm acting 'Captain Obvious' now, I don't know how experioenced you are, and since a Movado should be a quality watch - would be a shame to damage the insides ;)

If you're not sure - go to a watchmaker and have it opened. Pictures of the movement will be helpful to tell you more about the watch.
    Have a great day!!!

Thanks for the replies. It's pretty fragile so don't want to risk opening it up haha. Googled everywhere but I guess vintage watches are always difficult to find data on.

Watchmaker's the best option as usual.

If the back is flat and the crystal curved it could be from circa 1925.
It would help if you knew the shape of the movement.
Ten years prior to this they made a curved movement also chronometer grade for a curved case.

Likely a silver case. The "chronometre" designation is not as meaningful as those found on later watches, and there was no standardization for such movements at that time. However, Movado did produce high-quality watches, and it is likely that the movement was adjusted.

The crown looks the same as the one they used on movado Ermeto purse watches.
