I have found this Omega silver pocket watch in a thrift shop for a small amount of money (~40euro).
The case is marked with 0.800, the dial has some damage on it and the hands look a little bit bent.
My only fear is that the movement might not be original, despite it's good functioning. The serial number on the case (380430) indicates that the watch might be from 1911-1912 period, according to an Omega Serial numbers table, but the movement has no serial number on it and it is also looking too good for it's age (in my opinion).
Could you guys give me any info on this watch ? Might the movement be orginal ? Is there any chance that the hands are not original?
Also, might be ok if i remove the movement for cleaning the silver case? It is blackened.
I am asking all these questions because it is my first pocket watch and my knowledge about them is so limited. :D
Sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language.
