    Anyone ever hear of Grubis?

I have a very old pocket watch that was my Dutch Grandfathers. It is a Grubis, and on the back it says N24819 Keinontoir Cylindre...does anyone know anything about these watches, like the year, etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

We'd need to see pics of the movement, dial and case to tell you much. It sounds like a cylinder escapement though.

The photography forum has a post at the top of their screen (a sticky) that gives directions.

Hmmm, I guess I'm not a computer guy...I tried several times, and can't for the life of me get them to work.

everything is hard the first time you do it!!

In my own words, which may provide an alternative view:

    1) put the .jpg file in a known location on your computer, like the desktop!

    2) log into photobucket.com

    3) Use the Upload File function to load the file onto your photobucket account.

    4) Go to a different window and get into WUS and start a 'reply'

    5) at the top of the reply window is an icon that looks like a post card with a mountain on it... It allows you to paste an image into your message.

    6) click on this icon... it opens a box asking where to find the image file on the Internet... Leave the box open and

    7) go back to the photobucket window. In your Album are small versions of the pictures you have uploaded. Under them are 4 lines with strange html in boxes behind them.

    8) click on the line labeled "Direct Link" ... no NOT clock on the box but rather click on the words "Direct Link". This will copy into your clipboard the address of this picture on Photobucket. (You will know this worked when a small yellow box appears under your cursor that says "copied".)

    9) go back to the WUS Window to the box we opened that is asking for the address of the image you want to past into the message.

    10) Right click on this address box (it has "http://") and fill the box with a Paste of the photobucket address. The image will then magically appear in your message composition window!

Sometimes another view helps in understanding....

    Good luck!

Eeeb! Now, that info is worth a lot to me! My Vista powered HP lost its ability to post pics on WUS after a cleanup. I hope your suggested technique works!
