Anyone have any info on these Vulcain pieces?

Bought a bag of watch parts at an estate sale today. May as well have taken a lighter to my 5.00 bill. .

Anyway, these vulcain parts were in it. Anyone have any info on this stuff?

If that was $5 it was well worth your money! I would love to find a bag of stuff like that for $5 that is some solid vintage stuff with well over the investment!!

To give you some info that you could find easy in google, Vulcan mama watches especially the watch called the cricket which is an alarm watch favored by many presidents in fact it is referred to as the presidents watch. I think I read somewhere that at one point Vulcan presented every president with a Cricket alarm watch. Very neat stuff indeed. Your Vulcan stuff looks more vintage, and I can’t tell by the movements alone if any are a cricket movement but they are for sure more valuable than the $5 spent. The issue is finding anyone who could use them or make a complete watch from what you have. Still a nice find maybe I should go to some estate sales or something near me to see what is being sold for pennies lol!

Hmmmmm. What I see is a whole load of parts that don't necessarily go together. Although 5$ isn't much of an investment, it's still 5$ and without the rest of the parts to make a whole watch, these parts are fairly useless IMO.....

However, others might think different and you may even have bits from other such buys to make whole watches. For what it's worth, the automatic dial presumably goes with the automatic movement which is an ETA 2452:

...and the other movement's a Venus Cal. 227 and presumably pairs up with the other dial:

I'm more of a Cricket guy, but have quite a few Vulcain watches in my collection. The two dials I am seeing were fairly common, as are the movements. The Cricket is the holy grail of vintage Vulcain, and that's not what you have. But what you have here will definitely make you some money on eBay, or you can cobble together a franken vintage and have a fun project.
