Anyone know anything about this Stowa pocket watch?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/131663802720...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I don't know anything about pocket watches and this seller said they don't have any pictures of the inside. Is this something I should pass on, or what would be a reasonable price?

If they don't have a movement picture and don't intend to post one- pass on this one.
Can be fake or franken. Excuses for not being able to post the movement picture are always suspicious in my book. Since I buy only at flea markets, let me give you an example from these- if a seller says that he won't allow opening up a watch, even if I offer to lend my watch case opening tools to open it, I walk away, no matter how good a watch looks. Something to hide? Sorry, but no. Just no.

Seller probably has no idea how to open this watch - he sells brick-a-brack

From dial its genuine and nice.
If you like it set a price and bid you may get it for under 50 Euros and a GREAT buy at that.

Thanks guys. Yeah I would think always pass if they don't show the movement, but this guy isn't a watch seller. I think people who don't know watches would be a little scared to open it. I'll set a price I wouldn't feel bad with losing if it is not what I'm expecting. If I win it I'll come back and post pics!

This is precisely the definition of gambling with unknown chance.

My last deal of this sort is described here:

I agree, to a certain extent. Most vintage watch buying on ebay is a gamble anyway. Yea the more pictures the better but as mentioned, there are sellers of estate sales that know very little about what they are selling. Look how many people post here daily that have no clue how to open a watch. Myself, I can open a popoff or threaded caseback but still don't have tools to open a toploader. Sometimes you just have to gamble. At least on ebay if you get taken, you can get your money back. Sometimes it's a hassle but that option is available to you. Now buying in person is a little different. I always carry a caseback opener, but I don't carry tools to open a toploader. How many people carry crystal lifts to flea markets to buy watches?? Sometimes you have to gamble but a little knowledge does help cut down being taken.

So I received the watch today. Threw it on ebay just for image hosting. lol. May decided to sell it eventually but I don't know.

Anyways, I got it open and took some snaps. Can anyone help me out with this? Is it original or franken? Also, any idea about what year this thing is? Good buy at $45?

Obviously a post WWII pocket watch with a small wrist watch movement. However, since the watch has a large movement holder ring, I suspect it's genuine. The movement is an Adolf Schild Cal. 1525 anyway:
