Hi, this is a long shot for sure, but anyhow...
I recently acquired this Swedish-branded Svalan (the swallow) watch. My guess is that it was made in the 50's - 60's. It's in kind of rough shape, but it runs well and keeps time. The case back is marked Swiss made, antimagnetic, waterproof and incabloc. It has a hand wound movement of unknown (Swiss) origin.
Unfortunately my case wrench is powerless against this case back, as is the almighty duct tape. Any other suggestions on how to get that back off?
From what I gather these watches were made in Switzerland and then fitted with branded dials by a large watch retail chain here in Sweden. Does anyone know anything more about these watches, and which Swiss companies might have been supplying the movements?
