    Austin Rado Connection?

So I came across this Austin Premier Date-Master Super-Automatic. Most of the time I see watches marked for Austin I think....blah. I may be wrong but most Austin watches don't look like this....

Was Austin a sub brand of Rado or was this a collaboration?

    Collaboration

Austin was the house brand for Gordon Jewelry. Gordon is now a part of Zales

Austin was named after the city that Gordon's had their HQ in (Austin TX)

I have a couple of Austin watches and they have a AS movement in them

I once picked up a battered Austin watch - practically the same as yours - and that had an Adolf Schild AS 1701 inside. Yours looks like that movement too.....

A collaboration between Lee Majors and Rado. Six million dollar watch.
