    Authentic? Waltham FSSC-88-W-800

I have a Waltham FSSC-88-W-800 that is like to get a few more sets of eyes on. I bought it on eBay about a decade ago - without much thought other than it looked cool.
    Does this look authentic?
If so, what year(s) would you speculate it’s from?
It needs some servicing. I live in Seattle, WA, any recommendations?
    Thanks!

    Looks like a WW2 A-11 Military pattern.

Not an expert on these but it looks good at first glance. Early 1940s.

U.S. Navy contract, WWII. Black dial would be Navy, white would have been Marines. This looks like it's in pretty good order,
most of these were worn until completely worn out.

Thank you for replies and insights - really good information! I'm contacting local repair shops to see about getting it serviced. It's in working order but it isn't keeping great time - it's probably off about 1-2 min +/- per day.

I also cleaned up the pictures a little bit, FWIW.

    Thanks again!
