    BenchGuy saved my Accutron!!

I put this in the ABC section but not much interest there so I thought I would put it here also. So I took a chance on this 1973 Accutron with a 218 in it on Ebay. I got it in but it didn't work. Well I only paid $25 for it so I thought it's definitely worth bringing back to life. So I sent this to our very own BenchGuy for a service. What an awesome job he did! Looks nice and running great! Thanks Paul!!

Nice watch and congrats on bringing it back to life.

You should ditch that particular expansion band as it will grind the lugs down. A expansion band is period correct for this watch(a lot of them left the jewelers with them on) but you need to get one that is the correct lug width(18mm) and not a once band fits many

I know but I don't wear my watches so I do like to keep the era related band on them. It would look good with a nice black leather strap, buuuuuuut, we'll see. Lol
