Betcha Didn't Know That M.C. Escher Was a Bulova Fan...........

It's true. Just two years before his death he drew this updated version of his 1948 classic 'Drawing Hands'. The revised piece shows a 1969 Bulova Banker 'K' which bears a striking resemblance to my own specimen.

I'm so sorry. The only direction I can provide that may be helpful is to 'splain Blue Oyster Cult (BOC) is one of my favorite bands of all time, saw them live many times in the late 1900's and into the 2000's. My clapping hands (with Rado watch on wrist!) raised above the crowd (all you can see of me because I'm so short) are visible several times in a concert DVD from June 21, 2002 called "A Long Day's Night" filmed at Skyline Stage on Navy Pier in Chicago. That's just proof I was there - one of the BEST concerts ever, and I've been to a lot. Some of their early albums have artwork similar in appearance to an M.C. Escher drawing. M.C. Escher was famous for his mind-tripping art, unending bending stairways - really it's indescribable. So, I was just struck last night that I am now on this forum yammering about watches, my beloved Bulovas, and a topic came up that I could link to my beloved BOC. I pasted one of their album covers (the one entitled "Tyranny and Mutation") to illustrate (see what I did there) the type of art and saved anyone having to read an explanation along the lines of this one. Long and winding. (D'oh! Now there's a Beatles reference! I better go now.) I have a big day ahead of me. Hope this helps get you unlost.

Me thinks the other posters were pretending to be confused. All in good fun, right.

You do make an excellent point - whoever superimposed the watch on the M.C. Escher drawing is an artist himself. For a future watch to be drawn on the wrist in that drawing is sort of like time travel. Yes, more close ups and details please.

Aw, if only you had seen them in their heyday.
I loved their work from the 70's... and then something happened that caused their sound to go another way.

Not judging - musicians have their own thing, they have to evolve, and there is the business side... but it was no longer for me, just not what they were when they started out.

"Dominance and Submission" -- even now, I hear that, and all the memories of my stoner adolescent days come rushing back.
