Sorry but I don't understand... Is it a movado watch with a german bracelet, right? 'Cause I see the little "swiss made" at the bottom of the dial.

If it's that, probably your friend has a watch made by two different things. Movado case & movement with a german bracelet.

Or is the Movado movement in a "german" case?

Hi, the bracelet is quite nice.

I managed to find the logo of the bracelet on the Mikrolisk website

As for the Movado movement, it looks like a Movado 260 movement (click on the model for more technical info).

Nice vintage mesh bracelet that has nothing to do with the watch.

Yes, i was trying to find out the brand of the bracelet, which has nothing to do with Movado indeed, since it does not show the Movado logo.

    Grateful! Many thanks

Also, do you know about the 260 movement or has experience with vintage Movados?

Indeed, but there is something really bizarre about it, because i have to clip it like a ladder, and press again to lock it. Very troublesome to wear and take off. But incredibly light!

@autoquartz : Unfortunately, I don't own a Movado. But I can only guess that it's a nice movement as every Movado watch is reputable.

Ok the bracelet is from Glauner & Epp, which returns nothing on a google search! How bizarre! Anyone?

Not so bizarre, this general type of clasp is not uncommon. For example, it's not so different from the small NSA clasps, although those only have one slot position instead of a ladder.

This is simply what I said previously. A nice mesh bracelet from a small company that has been out of business for a long time. At some point somebody put the bracelet on that watch. I also have a small collection of vintage watch bracelets and swap them on and off watches regularly. Some brands are well known (JB Champion, Gay Freres, NSA/Novavit), but there are many bracelets from small companies that are long gone and have little web presence.
