    blancpain rolls

    hi all.
first post and i have a question.
i recently bought a blancpain 1945 rolls 38 mm very sleek, prob too sleek for my wrist, but i kinda like it.
anyway first day i wore it out i noticed there was substantial condensation.
iasked my pal if this was ok, he said its pretty noirmal for that to happen to antiques
im not really happy with it.
    can anyone suggest options?

do i have case of return perhaps?

    cheers.

    Hi and welcome.

No its not normal - it means that there is moisture in the watch which is always bad. I'll let the watchmakers in here suggest how to proceed.

Did you wash your hands whilst wearing the watch? you will need new seals for this watch, most vintage pieces I would not go near water and yes not even to wash my hands, I own a 80s seiko and this did the same whilst washing my hands. You need to take the caseback off to dry it out or take it to a local watch guy to do this and ask him to check the seals.

Moisture in a watch, old or new is not good! Metal rusts. Small, intricate parts rust faster.

def no contact with water what so ever. , i was outsdie playing golf, on a windy spring day. and its very dry here right now .
there was no rian, had no shower, sweat is the obvious thought i have , but sweat does this ?
i asked the selller if anything needed to be done to the watch before i bought it and he said no it was fine.
    hmmmmmmm not so sure now.
im a little uneasy about the whole thing. i just cant think it happened just this one time by coincidence on the first day i bought it. thks for feedback .
