Has anybody got any books they could recommend on vintage wrist watches or watchmaking...I am thinking picture heavy and available in UK libraries to browse before I buy...anybody?
Heinz Hampels 'Automatic Wrist Watches, Schiffer, is a good read with a large variety of movements and information. Don De Carle's Practical Watch Repairing is a standard. A lighter read but still interesting is The Classic Watch, Michael Balfour. Then of course there's Omega , a journey though time which is a huge tome on the history of Omega product.
