Very nice. I have a couple just like the first one:

    They have Raketa 2609HA movements:

    bidfun-db Raketa_2609HA: Raketa 2609HA

I don't know the later one though. Why do you say 'impure?'

Oh yes. I had a Sekonda as my only watch back in the 70's - well made, and a lot cheaper than Swiss equivalents. I have been wearing that one for a few days now.

Well there are plenty of Sekondas on UK ebay. I just buy if they are going very cheap. This guy:

    eBay My World - theoldwatchmaker

has been recommended in here before. I've only bought one from him - a Roamer - and it was fine. In general though, avoid Russian watches that look like converted pocket watches; especially from the Ukraine.

I like the advert. I have one similar to the second Sekonda which runs very well. I tried unsuccessfully to open it to see what is inside.

I am very skeptical of the east European and Asian sellers. So I bought mine from a Canadian and one English. Are there any good UK sellers that can be recommended?
