    Bucherer Watch

Hello, I have recently acquired a Bucherer watch but I do not know much about it. If anyone is familiar with this particular watch, I would be very grateful for any information you may provide to me.

I have attached a few pictures of the watch.

    Thank you!

    Re: Bucherer Watch

Welcome to the forum. The watch is a ladies watch from the fifties or sixties and as such not very valuable since the demand for such watches is very low. Still, it is a nice and reliable watch (if undamaged) and Bucherer is a good and reliable name. They used to be just a jeweler with a brand line with their name on the dial (but with generic movements). In recent years, they have started to make their own movements.

    Hartmut Richter,

Thank you very much for your prompt response and valuable information. Based on the history of Bucherer, would you perhaps know the karat and/or if it would have been made of solid gold vs platted in gold?

    Thank you.

Solid gold watches have gold casebacks. Ones with stainless casebacks are gold plated.
