    Bulova crown question...

When did Bulova begin using signed crowns on its dress watches?

I think the earliest one that I have is a 1957 one.

I don't know if the crown is original to the watch but it appears to suit the case style so I "think" it's original.

    Re: Bulova crown question...

In the 1952 Bulova Catalog of Interchangeable Parts there is a rather large set of tables at the end that gives information on the fit for all of the "Genuine Bulova Crowns".

They run the full spectrum of dustrproof to "watertite". I would assume that they used signed crowns in the 1940's, but don't know about the 30's.

I'm no Bulova expert so there's a much greater than zero chance I'm incorrect about dates.

I think it was just after WWII, maybe the late 40's / early 50's. I'd like to know for sure also.
