    Bulova Phantom

Here for your perusal is the extremely rare, and completely awesome Bulova Phantom, circa 1921/22.
Although it is popularly known as the Phantom, these earlier models are possibly Hudson Maxim models that use the slimmest movement Bulova made at the time, the Phantom.
    Solid platinum case.
18 jewel Phantom movement, 8 adjustments.
Silver dial, gold hands/numerals,bezel and bow set with around 60 top quality and quite sizeable diamonds.
Edge of the case has a narrow band of black enameling, as can just be seen in the pics.
These models retailed at $1,000 in 1922, as can be seen in the 1922 Bulova advert.

Thanks to Rob Stoddard for the pics of his awesome watch.

Now to find one of these in a junk box would be fun (understatement).

Not to thread jack or anything, but does this 1950s Phantom have a similar slim movement inside??
It is really slim compared to some of my other watches.

Sorry no Emre, don't have much info on it. The owner didn't tell me which ebauche Bulova used for these, and I'm not too knowledgable about p/w's myself.
Bulova were known to use some really good ebauches for their movements, especially in early watches.
