    Bulova vintage information needed

I write to you in search of some guidance to find out more about this watch that my father who recently passed away had reserved for me after he used it for many years as long as I can remember the story behind this watch is that he got it from his first salary after graduating from university and the seller gave him credit since he could not afford it at once this is all I know so I will like to have more information on this piece

    thank you in advance

Looks like 1959 as dated L9 on the back. I'm thinking this is possibly a clipper model but not sure.

Pretty cool old watch. Semi-dive on the web will show that watch and it's being called a sea-king. I am not sure if that's accurate. mybulova is a pretty great website to crowd source for this particular watch.

I scoured myBulova yesterday for it, but to no avail. I'm sure it's there. I really feel like I've seen that dial on the bay before. What throws me are the lugs. I assume they've worn through? I think the only "hollow" or "cat ear" lugs they made were in the presidential series. Sea-King would be a good guess since it says waterproof. I'm surprised nobody has ID'ed this yet.

What all does the caseback say, Comanche?
"A watch is ruined, not by time, but by bad handling. To run well it should be wound regularly, cleaned yearly, and, if injured, taken to a competent, practical man. A Waltham watch properly cared for will last a lifetime." -American Waltham Watch Co. Catalog (c) 1900
“When your watch gets out of order you have a choice of two things to do: throw it in the fire or take it to the watch-tinker. The former is the quickest.” -Mark Twain

The case back says "WATERPROOF" on one side and "ANTI-MAGNETIC" on the other... from what I can tell.
