-Buren Rival- has anyone heard of this watch

I have found this watch and I really like it. There is not much info on them so wandering if any one knows anything about it.
It has a missing crown, are they easy to replace with another brand?Name: Buren rival 1.JPG

As you may know. Buren was best known for they're micro rotors and collaboration with Hamilton. This is a manual wind and what looks like one of they're in house movements. As long as you get a crown the same dimensions, you should be fine

From the pics it looks like the stem is also missing.

    Hi,

what the the diameter of the movement? I have found Buren a real struggle to ID their calibres, but yours looks like a variation on the 462 without the finger bridges. Parts supply is still surprisingly good, once you ID it.

OK, without seeing under the dial, which is important, I believe it is a Buren 460.

But, you should't rush out and spend your money before you are certain, so it will need the dial off (unless you can find the calibre number under the balance, but I am pretty sure these are not marked). Also date period is around 1945.

That stem is available at Jules Borel (just checked) $4.50 + freight and no doubt cousins UK (didn't check) and many others. Also, I would expect it would have come in the Ronda selection - so many older watchmakers would have these on the shelf.

Thanks trim i'm glad i can fix it up easy enough it is a beautiful watch. I'v heard back then gentlemens watches were all around this size. Is the Ronda collection for genst. Also, I have checked out jules borel i'll become a member and order if my local watch maker doesn't have any, but I would prefer to find the closest match stem and crown. I can't see the number under balance wheel but I searched and found a thread that showed the movement with the 3 finger bridges and it is very similar. I'll ad to the post as I get it together. These guys made some really nice looking watches it's a shame there arn't many images of what they made out there. Cheers.
