    Cal.12 Heuer "Calculator" acquisition

I got this Heuer in the mail a few days ago and I absolutely love it - - so much so that I'm going to sell my Doxa Sharkie to pay for it! Ha-ha.

It's a mid-'70s model with the Calibre 12 automatic chronograph powerplant. The bezel is a perfect 46mm across (without crown or pushers). It's also quite "short" from top to bottom, so it doesn't extend out from my scrawny 6.875" wrist!

Based on the styling, it's hard to believe this watch was made before "disco" became popular!

    Regards from Sunny San Diego..........Tom

    Congratulations Mr pacifichrono

What a beauty and in a pristine condition !!!
    I also like the milanesa

One of my dealers have offered me a similar one , but it looks ridiculous in my very, very (I really mean very) small wrist .

I sure you will enjoy yours for a long long time

    saludos

Sadly, yes - but probably before you would remember. Come to think of it, you have a few watches that might have been seen at Studio 54.

    Awesome.

A video (but on a Citizen) of how to use a slide rule on a watch.

Flatterer . I remember disco, I just don't remember it being popular. You're right about some of my watches though. I try not to think about where they might have been. <shudder>

Ha-ha...when I got my first accounting job in 1969, we had a financial analyst who used
an abacus! Our inventory extenders used 100-key mechanical comptometers like
this one to calculate quantities times cost per unit:

There were about a dozen old ladies who operated these dinosaurs using hundreds
of pages of month-end inventory counts from our many plants.
