    Calling all caliber detectives!

I'm usually competent at figuring out calibers, but am having a tough time with this one. The watch is branded only by a Swiss retail store, so no clues to the manufacturer on either the dial or case.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    Tony C.

References to the caliber can very seldom be found on the dial or case (Timex has the year of make and the caliber of the movement marked on the dial).

Is there anything under the balance wheel or somewhere else on the M O V E M E N T which could lead any further?

What's lurking under the tabs? I can see some stampings.

I saw that too, I guess it will just say 'ANTIMAGNETIC'

There seems to be a box under the tab by the crown.
That could be a clue to calibre.
I've got more Converse sneakers than watches, but it is a close race.

I'd go for this one (with an indirect central seconds adaptation):

    bidfun-db Archiv: Uhrwerke: Ebel 99 (Aurore-Villeret 182, 232?)

As Ranfft states, the origins aren't quite clear, though - Ebel directly but indirectly, it might be Aurore Villeret.

Thanks to all, and good find, Hartmut! I think that may be the one.

I see what others are referring to behind the tab, but I don't have the watch with me at the moment. I will check further when I retrieve it.

    Cheers,

    Tony C.
