I've just bought a Camy Royal with a rather unusual face from ebay (pictures attached) to wear while my other watch is away for service. I don't know anything about it though and was wondering if anyone could give me some information? I know some of the history of Camy itself but can't seem to find many other examples of the 'Royal' and certainly none with a face like this! The strap looks too new to be original to me, but that's not something that concerns me much...
Welcome to Watchuseek. Hmmmmmmm - you are right to be wary of the dial. I know nothing about Camys but, despite the wear at 8:00 on the inner ring, it looks a little too garish to me. And such dials are usually redials.....
The movement is from Fontainemelon (FHF), something from the Cal. 96 family perhaps:
I own a Camy Sputnik with the same movement, it´s signed ST 96, a licensed FHF 96 made by Standard Nouvelles Fabrique SA.
To the dial - I also think it´s a creative redial.
