    Can anyone help me with id of this Hamilton

    It works perfectly got it from my dad. It is gold filled but can't seem to figure out the model. Any help will be appreciated.

    That should be a Hamilton Cabot. 14k gold filled. 980 mechanism. 1935. Very nice. To be sure you can go to vintage watch forums. Go to hamilton, then to the hamilton resource center. They list models by shape and material. Also from there i think there is a link to a restoration of this model.

    Thanks so much my dad got this in an estate sale with a gold buckle but I could not find the model for the life of me.

    That's a nice find! Is the buckle signed Hamilton? That would be great. Probably all original.

    Buckle is not signed it is a spiedel band. Just had it serviced but my watch guy said Hamilton made some many different models he could not tell me what model it was but he said the movement was built like a tank.

    Hamilton Cabot is correct, here is a 1936 catalog page with the enamel dial version:



    It was introduced in 1935, though.

    Wow that is good stuff I appreciate all this info. The watch runs like a top. I wore it today for the first time.
