Can I get an opinion on this vintage Longines?

I drunk purchased an old 1962 Longines on eBay a while back when I was new to watches. This was before I heard all of the horror stories of Frankenstein watches and fakes. I was hoping you guys could give me your opinion on the authenticity of my watch. It is in need of a service and I want to know if it is worth the time and money. Sorry for the crummy pics I can take more on request... Thanks in advance!

It looks to be a very nice example. You can contact Longines with the serial number for an exact provenance.

The serial number dates it to ca 1963.

Nice buy Sir. Looks very clean. Some of my best purchases have been under the influence of a half decent Burgundy. And if anyone of you make reference to my location I'll report you for cultural slurs... :D

Drunk purchase? Now I'm wondering why I was sober every single time I was buying a watch...

Re: Can I get an opinion on this vintage Longines?

Thanks guys this turned out way better than I expected! I was afraid to mention before that I paid roughly $250 for this. I am going to assume that's a good deal for a pre-Swatch Longines in good condition?

Any ideas how much a service for this bad boy will be (last serviced roughly 10 years ago)? Or any tips for finding a good local watchmaker? I only have 3 years of mechanical experience and this will actually be my first service.......
