    Hi there and welcome!

Congrats on your new watch... If you read the stickies on the main page, you will see why we cant give valuations! However, if you just bought this watch from a jeweler... I would say you paid the right amount! However, if you search any online auction site, Im sure you will find similar Longines watches for sale!

    I used this site:

    Vintage Watches - Collect...Identify...Discuss

It ID (date) the watch from your movement serial number.... It dates the watch to 1904 (approx).....

    Cheers,

    Marc

    1700 what? $? £? Euro? Yen?

As for cost... what is the case made of? Are there any hallmarks?

As I say at the start, we can't give valuations!

However, a solid 14k hunter case watch will have a value just in the case! What size (diameter) Is the watch?

I am no pocket watch expert... So can't comment on the quality of the movement... Hopefully someone else will chime in!

If you are concerned with what you paid, take it to another jewelers for a valuation... That way they can weigh the case and give you a good idea of 'value'
