    Car boot finds

    A very useful trip to the car boot today;
    A 17J full stainless case Ingersoll day/date in vvgc (nos?) this so far keeps perfect time...I dont think it has been worn and there is a pin? missing that holds the bracelet on, it has a Ronda-Matic RAX? movement that looks incredibly clean.
    The case back is marked DUST RESISTANT SEALION ANTIMAGNETIC STEEL CASE.

    next is a Seiko 5 automatic, again in full working order just needs a new glass, movement is a 7009A...not sure I 100% like the dial (which is pretty much mint)on this so it may yet have to go?
    There are a couple of minor marks on the case but removable I think?
    Does anyone know if the bezel is stainless too? as this is marked.
    What is the approximate year of manufacture on this ? case back is stamped 295729.

    Also got this Bentima Star17J, gold plating is a bit worn in places and the crystal needs renewing but again it so far keeps fairly good time( possibly a little fast?) the dials pretty good too.
    The movement is a bright nickel? plated 17J AS ST 1802/03, I think one of the strap lugs (top right) is a little bent? but the strap was fitted ok but worn out.

    Thanks but there's more yet...a really good day!
    This next one is a Sekonda 17J, fairly common needing and needing a new crystal and the face is a bit marked, it appears to run ok (though not yet tested accuracy or duration yet)
    The thing I like about this one is the almost mint and unmarked 20 micron gold plated case, unbelievable considering it was in a box with loads of others including the Bentima star all at £2 each!
    Movement is a very clean though completely unsigned Raketa 2609? save for serial number11010.

    And lastly is a 17 J Accurist 'Shockmaster' with a very clean virtualy unmarked chrome case with satinless back, the dial is mint, the movement to my eye at least is a beautifully finished FHF96-4

    Love the Accurist and Ingersoll, especially. PM if you want to let them go.
    Sadly, here in America, such serendipitous finds are impossible. Our cars don't wear boots, but rather roll on tires. Not tyres.

    Nice pick ups there, and for 2 quid a pop

    It's luck of the draw with car boot sales as I went to one a couple of weeks ago and there was bugger all except cheap tat quartz's

    May have to go to a bigger one for another go now
