    Caravelle Diver Arrived!

I just wanted to show of the Caravelle diver I posted about earlier this week. It just arrived and I really like it, especially for the price- under $20.00! It needed a quick polishing up, but I'm very happy about it's condition. The bracelet was crap, but it will look much better with one I choose anyway! Also, so far, it seems to be running fine and telling good time.
At any rate, I just had to show it off to you guys. Let me know what you think. Thanks!!

    Excellent.

    That's in really nice condition.

Looks like you received a pretty good deal. Have you gotten a chance to look at the movement?

Thanks for the kind words guys! I'll probably wait a day or so before opening her up. Just holding my breath right now. You know what I mean? I'll send more photos when a get on new strap on.
By the way, any suggestions for a strap? Sorry-I'm not a NATO fan but any other suggestions would be welcome! :thanks

A stainless jubilee bracelet would look nice. For straps on divers, I kinda like the leather-nylon combination used by Swiss Army.

Given that the lugs have long horns beyond the holes, it may be difficult to find a bracelet that fits and looks right, and if going for leather, something with a bit of padding would sit better, I think.

How about a sporty '60s style ventilated black leather?

    Mechanics are already done.

Dail needs a little work and the hands a relume. Also a little polishing and I need to replace the gaskets, even if it's not going for a swim.

@emmanuelgoldstein: I can take some photo's of the movement later today. Miyota handwound if i'm not mistaken.
