    Caravelle Innards/Wristshot

Here is a wrist shot and photos of the innards of the Caravelle I've been running of at the mouth about!! I must say I'm happy how accurate it's been running and how clean it is inside.
Okay -- I'll leave you all alone now!!!

Nice looking...I have similar one (non diver). The 11dp is a Citizen 0241:

I can't quite make out the date code on yours...M7?

    Thanks Rob,
I completely forgot to look for that code!! It's an M8-1968! I forgot they're date coded like a Bulova.
That's a nice clean looking one you've got there too!:thanks

Yeah...too bad the spring on the shock-unit squirted out of my tweezers en-route to the ultrasonic. Sigh. I'm sure it's down here somewhere...

Appreciate the thought, but I got that one at a flea market for $2.00, and I don't really collect Citizens or Caravelle's, so save it for a more worthy watch.

Incidentally, I found that the top shock unit is a different size then the bottom. The pierced jewel seems to be the same size, but the cap jewel and spring are different.

Does anybody know how far back the Bulova-Citizen partnership goes? This watch is clearly much older than their Citizen Electronic joint-venture in the 1970s.

The oldest Caravelle I've seen is from 1963

I've got a Caravelle from the mid sixties, it has an ETA 2472 in it. It's a great running watch.
