    A case for ETA 2472

    I showed my watch https://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=343854 .
Since then [ 7 months] I have been searching ebay for a new case. no go. Not one. I used the search terms : ETA CAL 2472

Is there another ETA number I should use in the search?

ps There is a watch that has been listed from November 3rd !

For the case, I think any date only or no date ETA automatic will work (ETA 2824), the stem height should be 1.80 mm, check to make sure. But, the dial will have to be from a date movement 2784 or earlier. The location of the dial feet and date window changed slightly with the 2800 and later series.

    Hi epilamer,

there are lots of ETA calibres with the same dimensions for same features
(automatic, date though). The according families are described here:
    http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-...2uswk&ETA_2472
    http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-...2uswk&ETA_2772

You can take any automatic/date from both lists to find a matching case.
I guess the most popular are th 2452 and the 2783.

    Regards, Roland Ranfft
