    Chronographe suisse - help!

    Hi! Im very new to this so would appreciate if someone could help me... I looked at this earnest chronograph suisse and wonder what is approximately worth? Any help would be great!

    Welcome to the forum. However, we don't give valuations here - there is a sticky explaining why. Chronograph Suisse watches are fairly common so I would advise you to scour eBay and the like to see what similar watches sell for on average. At the very worst, it will be worth the gold value (it is 18K gold), however, bear in mind that the gold content is not as great as one might think. These things were made with the intent to produce "affordable gold watches" so a minimum of gold was used: the case is very thin and is stabilised by a massive movement holder ring (the thing saying "METAL") and even the lugs are hollow inside. Still, a nice watch and not entirely valueless. The movement inside is by the generic chronograph movement maker Landeron:
