    Constellation wrecks

Got these on the bay today. The 505 seems to be in decent condition, good pie-pan dial!, decent looking movement, altho I'm not sure of the case. crown is missing, and who knows what else
The other one is a huge mess, movement wrecked and incomplete. I hope the dial is restorable. Case looks pretty good tho :)

Does anyone have more info on the 505 movement? When was that made? I see this is a 19 jewel version, not the newer 20 one. Guessing ~1955?
Don't have the watches yet so can't see the serial ;)

    Re: Constellation wrecks

After doing some research on the 505 movement, I can tell this one isn't a 505, as that has 24jewels ;)
Seems like a 1955-1957 501 movement, but the constellation version was 'adjusted 5 positions' while this rotor just doesn't tell that.
Could it be a seamaster 501 movement, or a constellation with a seamaster rotor? Are there any other ways to tell?
