    A Couple of Pocket Watches

A couple of pocket watches my father-in-law owns. The Illinois was his Dad's.

And one that was his grand fathers (might have started as his great grand fathers) Porcelian dial. Unkown maker. The caseback wouldn't easily open, and I didn't really want to force it.

Did you try pushing the button on top of the pendant? It's an old keywound model, and that button should be attached to the latch.

BTW, that Illinois is fantastic! Love the pinstripe dial and the bridge movement! Those are some nice pieces.

I did not Gene. We're expecting to be back at his place in Colorado in a couple of weeks. I'll give that a go. Thanks for the info.
