Any marks on the back? Mikrolisk, a data base/trade mark index lists 12 Chronometro. Impossible to say who‘s who.
Other than that: typical watch of the 60s/70s. If the Back says stainless steel back this would indicate it is a brass case plated with chrome or gold or whatsoever. If so, only the back would be made out of srainless steel.
    Kind regards

    Re: Cronometro PLIMEX

Maybe an import brand for Waltham ? They used „Chronometro Superior“ and „Chronometro Tupy“. Is there a XXX import code somewhere on the movement ? For Waltham it was WXO according to Kathleen H. Pritchard’s Swiss Timepiece Makers 1775-1975, Phoenix Publishing.
    Kind regards
