    Croton Equator

I got this little (30mm) Croton a while back on the bay. It runs good but will occasionally stop, so it needs servicing. The face has some patina, but the case is real nice for the age--all stainless. Also I really like the retro style. I'd like to wear it as part of the rotation and think it would be worth the 30 bucks or so for servicing. What do you guys and gals think? Also, anyone got an idea on the age? I'd guess mid to late 50's.:thanks

    Thumbs Up Re: Croton Equator

Its a very nice watch. I have a similar looking watch but by a different maker, approx the same size too that is from the 50's so your guess is most likely correct. Its always worth it getting a service so then another vintage does'nt go in the bin. Good luck and have fun wearing it

I think servicing for $30 is a steal!! I would wear it!! Great watch..

+1! Even if servicing ran $50-60, it's well worth getting it done. It's a beauty!

    Hi there,

an old watch in good condition, and the more of good quality (reputable
brand, waterproof steel case) is always worth to be serviced.

Remember, a new watch will also ask for service after 5 to 10 years, and so
a cheap old watch with immediate neccessity of service is by far the more
    economical approch.

    Regards, Roland Ranfft
