    Croton "Ice Cut" Aquamatic

Just got this via the 'Bay for $10.00 and change. Runs good (a little slow), but the stainless case, hands and face are in fantastic shape. Gotta get a band for it and a servicing, but I'm stoked, especially for the small investment! What do you guys think? Thanks for looking!!

Love the shape of the numbers. Do you have any idea when it was made?

    Chris,
I'm guessing late 50's early 60's as it reminds me of speedometer markings on cars of that era. I don't think it would be as late as the 70's, though. Also on the back it is listed as "waterproof" which I think was definitely pre-70's. :thanks

    cool watch!
    I'd say late 1960s.
Funny, I got a Wyler last week for just about the same price, and the case is nearly identical, except it is a monobloc.
Luv me some $10 vintage watches!
    This one is dated 1970:

Sweet watch--I had one similar to that a while back. Is that one a front loader?

Thanks! Yes, opens from the front, otherwise the case looks just like the ICE CUT (what a cool thing, custom dial for a company?)

I'm not a "strap guy" so put the watch on a vintage expansion today, feels like I'm in "Life on Mars"
