Crown sign for Vintage Longines Watch ?

I have a solid 18K gold Longines Conquest Calendar....probably 40-50 years old. I believe the crown is original as it is perfect matching color and size and fit. However, it is not signed with Longines "wings". Rather there is a Big C with a "dot" in the middle.

Can anyone comment on this crown...is it original? C could easily represent "Conquest".

    thanks
    Hap

I don't know for sure, but a C with a dot in it sounds an awful lot like the CYMA logo

I have never seen such. All Longines marked crowns are the flying wing.

My watch maker doesn't stock anything but generic crowns and won't replace original with original for his normal COA price... (for water resistant watches you need to replace the gaskets to assure water resistance and there is usually a gasket in the crown. Getting the old one out in a crown is so time consuming he just replaces the whole crown... if the old one was an original, he'll give it back. He's right, getting a gasket out without producing scars in the crown is very difficult).

I really value water resistance. So most of my watches don't have original crowns.

Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

MY watchmaker has told me that it is no big deal with older watches. If the crown "fits" or otherwise appears to match it's fine. He said trying to find an old matching replacement crown is like trying to find an original old replacement tire for 1940's car. Very difficult and mostly try to replace with tire of more modern manufacture.

Not all, some simply have the word "Longines" on them.
