Crystal Cleaner? Update! You have to look! Lol

Has anyone heard of or used this stuff? It's making some pretty good claims if it works. I have no association with this seller or product. Just wondering as I may try it if anyone here knows about it. Thanks!

So I tried this on a cheap westclox plastic lens. It is in pretty rough condition with lots of scratches. I tried to get pics best I could.
    Before any cleaning!

    After the generic stuff above.

So it looks better but to be honest, it looks like it just shined up the crystal and really didn't take out many scratches. So I went back over this with Polywatch.

Seeings how I have this in-hand and I know the pics may not represent the actual results very well, my conclusion is Polywatch took out more scratches than the ebay generic stuff. It didn't take all out with one cleaning, but it did better. Avoid the stuff above and stick with polywatch. Lol Thanks for looking!

    Re: Crystal Cleaner?

I have seen products advertised on TV that seem to be "fillers" for scratched eyeglass lenses. Since this suggests you just wipe on and wipe off, that may be what is going on here.

Otherwise, if it were a polishing compound like Polywatch, it would require buffing. My guess would be that it looks good when you apply it, but it may not be very durable. This would be good for a seller that mainly cares about short-term cosmetic improvement; I thought it was interesting how the listing says that it "improves the retail value of your product".

If you try it, let us know how it goes.

    Re: Crystal Cleaner?

Sounds fishy to me. Not details whatsoever. I use Polywatch. Then I apply a light coat of boiled linseed oil and let it air dry for a day. Then buff the crystal clean with a clean soft dry cloth. I applied BLO to my foggy car headlight covers. 95% improvement. You can get BLO on Amazon for $9 for 8oz. They sell that on Ebay for $25. Buyer beware.
