    custom watch cases

Hello guys. I am doing some good work for myself (not reselling) I am buying
high end pocket watch movements of eBay and converting them into wristwatches.
So far I won't say I have much but there is a vacheron, meylan, agassiz,
    longines in my collection.

For the 35-39mm movements I am good, i buy my entire see through glass back
cases from get that watch. Their cases are solid stainless steel nice polish,
cheap solid and very well made.

My problem is finding cases between 40 and 43 mm diameter. There is a seller
in Germany making them and selling them on ebay , they look good but
unfortunately their soft like cheese and easy scratch-able. When i split the
bezel by the case using the knife there is already a sign.

Therefore I would like to find something else. I saw many watches sold by Ukrainians
or Poland on eBay and their cases look good and big, however they would not
    disclose the source.

I included a picture with a Vacheron I recently made. Please notice the custom sterling silver beautiful coin

Can please someone who knows redirect me to a manufacturer web site where i
    can buy these cases?

    Thank you a lot

    Re: custom watch cases

You may try contacting Ickler in Germany. They make custom cases for a few high-end watch companies, as well as other small watch houses. ICKLER - Watches and Watch Cases | Since 1924 will take you to their sample page, but I do not know what they charge for the work, nor if they have a minimum order quantity.

I am currently pursuing the same case supplier you are, but so far I have only been able to find machine shops that have the best ability to turn out custom cases. As most of the movements I am working with are key wind, it makes it a little more difficult, as they must be wound every day, so a screw down case won't work for me.

    Good Luck!

Reister & Nittel in Pforzheim would be another option to ask.
    Kind regards

Helo all and thanks for helping me. I was persuing the "Ickler" , their cases are magnificent as well as customer service but unfortunately they are only making a minimum of 100 cases and one costs 130 euros ( about 160 Us). It is not working for me , I am still looking for other alternatives. I don't care if I must pay 200$ for a nice case but I cannot buy a specific number of them

You could always sell the ones you do not need on Ebay?

I just thought of that Czech WUS member, he has shown some spectacular one-off watches in various materials.
Despite his less than ideal workshop, (judging from the pics) he makes truly amazing cases/watches.
The ones he has shown here on WUS (two or three?) have a modern look, but with his skill I would say he can make something more oldfashioned too!

Another thought - some of your local machine shops should be able to turn out a custom case to your specs very easily. You might even be able to hand them one of your current cases and tell them to make a new one to fit a movement you have. I think I will need to do this in order to get my old KW movements onto my wrist.
