Decided to go retro tonight with this 1972 Bulova. What are you wearing out tonight?

I just finished servicing this 1972 Bulova 23 Automatic Day/Date. I cleaned it up and put in a new crystal. I have to wear it out tonight... ya know. To see if it keeps good time. The great thing about this watch is that it has the original bracelet. I love it but my wife isn't sold. haha.

Tonight I need lume so it won't be vintage. But yours looks very nice!

Very nice watch, it's just not retro, but real.

Seen from today's date, anything between 1920 and 1980 (approximately) is vintage, anything before that is antique and 'retro' defines a new item, imitating (or being influenced by) an old style. So, be happy that you have a wonderful vintage Bulova and not a chinese fake in Bulova retro-style.

You could have ment going retro-style (with a vintage watch), but then it is not old enough. It would be more applicable for re-makes of 1940s watches.
