Defender Watch Co interesting waterproof watch

Anyone ever see one of these or know anything about it? Seems Defender was not around for too long. I do like the case design though and not many these style are waterproof!

The US import code on the balance cock ("NOS") points to Amida who used the brand name "Defender". The movement is probably by ETA:

It was ETA 1000 I needed a parts movement and bought an ETA 1000 and it worked great. Up and running fine it was very poor condition and I had to change alot of the parts from the parts movement because they were so worn out. The seconds hand snapped easily with the pin inside when I removed it! Found a good enough hand to replace and good watch now. Thanks.

Except for a hermetic crown, there's little actually "waterproof" about this watch. A really nice one, though.

I agree and wouldnt try to test its "waterproof" even with a new seal for it!
