This 1899 Dent quarter repeater is one of my favorites. Has a wonderful inscription on the cuvette that indicates it was originally an anniversary gift from his wife for one of the "Big Four" founders of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. William S. Halsted. Dr. Halsted then evidently bequeathed it to a protege named Mont Reid who was one of the doctors attending to him in his final days. Date of that presentation is the date of his passing, Sept. 7, 1922.
I love the watches with a researchable and/or known history.
